The OW Committee heard the feedback, and have made adjustments to a transition plan bridging the 2026 Open Water Select Camp Selection Process.  Please review below.

2026 Open Water Select Camp – Selected from 2026 NCS OW Champs, OW Zone Meet, OW Juniors/OW Nationals (see point chart below). A swimmer’s age group for camp will be determined by the swimmer’s age at the NCS Open Water Championships. 

Automatic Qualifiers: The top (5) placing swimmers for each gender in the following events at the NCS Open Water Championships will automatically qualify for the 2026 Open Water Select Camp:

· 11-12 2K

· 13-14 3K

· 15-18 5K

An additional (3) swimmers in each age group will be selected to camp through the points system below, for a total of (8) swimmers per gender in each age group (11-12, 13-14, 15-18). A swimmer may not be in college at the time of the Select Camp. In such a case, the next highest finishing swimmers will be selected up to the tenth-place finisher.

Houston, Texas – NCS finished second overall at the 2026 Southern Zone Open Water Championships in League City, Texas this past weekend. Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, and the NCS Village who helped create this team for a successful Business trip. #WEARENCS

2026 College Club Swimming National Championships

Greensboro, NC – The 2026 College Club Swimming National Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on April 10-12. There were 1628 swimmers from 144 college clubs from across the USA. Guest appearnaces at the meet included Kyle Sockwell and Culen Jones.

Charleston, SC – Congratulations to Team Black Diamond, Champions of the 11th Annual Carolina Crown Swim Challenge!

Congratulations to the 200 plus athletes from across North Carolina and South Carolina divided into 4 teams – Black Diamond, Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire. Thank YOU to the MLK Pool, to all the Officials and Volunteers who helped make the event a success. Thank you to Amy Faulk, Chip Holland, Jonathan Watson, Trish Martin, Victoria Culbertson, and all the in between behind the scenes for orchestrating this entire event and making it a success for all to enjoy.
