February 3, 2021 by Bill Martin

The TAC Titans had the top combined overall team point total in the USA Swimming 18 & Under Winter Championships. TAC also had the top combined women’s team point total. SwimMAC Carolina finished second in men’s combined scoring.

The USA Swimming event compiled times from 18 & under meets held throughout the country. The awards video below announced the top eight times in each individual event and the top team awards. You’ll notice a lot of familiar names on the leader board, including these number one finishers from NCS clubs: Claire Curzan (100 back, 200 back, and 100 fly), Abby Arens (200 breast), Baylor Nelson (200IM), and Mikey Moore (400 IM).

Robin Jacobs: A Tribute

January 29, 2021 by Bill Martin

North Carolina Swimming sadly acknowledges the passing of long-time TYDE coach, Robin Jacobs. Coach Robin passed away last Sunday night with her family by her side. She had been a valued member of the North Carolina Swimming community and a foundation of the WSY/TYDE swim team for over 35 years.

As a tribute to Coach Robin, please enjoy this celebration video that was created last year to recognize Robin’s “retirement” from the pool deck.
