The 2021 NCS Spring HOD weekend meetings will be held via ZOOM. Below is a link to the meeting schedule. Each session has a separate ZOOM login code below the meeting description.
NCS introduces new logo
From the ocean to the mountains, we swim under the beautiful starry blue skies of the North Carolina Swimming LSC. That sums up the inspiration that led to the design of NCS’s new logo launched today at the LSC’s Senior Championships meet. The new logo reflects the LSC’s geographic diversity with the pool uniting our 10,000 swimmers, coaches, officials, and volunteers across the state. The star is a link to the North Carolina flag as well as to USA Swimming. Look for the new NCS logo wherever you swim.
New ESSZ Website
Jonathan Watson and Jay Dodson have created a new website for our Section with links to all the LSCs in the Section and all four zones! The website will host the Section Membership application, the Sectional (Senior and Age Group) meet info and qualifying standards, and sectional meeting minutes. In short, all things Sectional!
A permanent link to the new website was added as a subtab to the Southern Zone tab on the NCS homepage. Below is the link:

Times for Observed High School Meets
Observed Swim Times from high school regional and championship meets have been loaded into the SWIMS database.
Please thank Suzanne Heath for her time and effort in getting these times in the system.
Observed High School meets included:
- The regional and state 1A-2A, 3A and 4A NCHSAA (public school) meets
- The Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 NCISAA (private school) meets
- The NCHEAC (home educated) meet
HY3 files and SDIF files of results for USA Swimming members matched from these meets will be sent to club coaches. Times for these swimmers will be NC UN and coaches will have to match by ID number to the club’s TM or TU database.
If there are missing times, please contact Suzanne.
TAC Titans top team in 18U Winter Champs
The TAC Titans had the top combined overall team point total in the USA Swimming 18 & Under Winter Championships. TAC also had the top combined women’s team point total. SwimMAC Carolina finished second in men’s combined scoring.
The USA Swimming event compiled times from 18 & under meets held throughout the country. The awards video below announced the top eight times in each individual event and the top team awards. You’ll notice a lot of familiar names on the leader board, including these number one finishers from NCS clubs: Claire Curzan (100 back, 200 back, and 100 fly), Abby Arens (200 breast), Baylor Nelson (200IM), and Mikey Moore (400 IM).
Congratulations North Carolina Swimmers!
Robin Jacobs: A Tribute
North Carolina Swimming sadly acknowledges the passing of long-time TYDE coach, Robin Jacobs. Coach Robin passed away last Sunday night with her family by her side. She had been a valued member of the North Carolina Swimming community and a foundation of the WSY/TYDE swim team for over 35 years.
As a tribute to Coach Robin, please enjoy this celebration video that was created last year to recognize Robin’s “retirement” from the pool deck.
