ELIGIBILITY

Athletes, ages 13-18, must be registered members of North Carolina Swimming & USA Swimming. Athletes must represent an ethnically under-represented population that is less than 20% of the current USA Swimming membership to be eligible for this camp. North Carolina Swimmers, please enter your North Carolina Swimming Club Team name when it asks for your club.

Athletes must have achieved at least one “B” time standard or have competed in at least three (3) USA Swimming sanctioned competitions.

Medical release forms will be given to all selected camp members immediately following selection.

Activities will involve two in-water sessions, educational sessions including a discussion about athlete nutrition and an opportunity for parents to learn about officiating, in addition to learning opportunities from guest speakers.

Thanks to our partnership with South Carolina Swimming and the University of South Carolina, North Carolina Swimming is able to present this opportunity to our athletes at no cost.

CAROLINA DIVERSITY SELECT CAMP APPLICATION FORM

APPLICATION DEADLINE: To receive a camp T-Shirt, kickboard, and camp cap, applications must be submitted by March 12.

The North Carolina Aquatic Club (NCAC) won the boys, girls, and combined team championships at the 2022 NCS Senior Short Course Championship meet at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. NCAC scored 1,647 points, more than 400 points ahead of the Raleigh Swimming Association (RSA) who finished in second place in combined team scoring. The Marlins of Raleigh finished in third place overall, followed by the Greensboro YMCA Makos, and SwimMAC Carolina. Click the following link for complete team scores by gender and combined.

2022 NCS Senior Short Course Championship: Team Scores

Team Awards were presented to the following top three teams in each of the large team, medium team, and small team divisions:

High Point Individual Awards were presented to the male and female athletes with the most points throughout the meet. Those awards went to:

The Raleigh Swimming Association (RSA) earns Safe Sport Club Recognition Status

Congratulations to the Raleigh Swimming Association (RSA), the latest North Carolina Swimming club to earn USA Swimming’s new Safe Sport Club Recognition! The Safe Sport Club Recognition program distinguishes USA Swimming clubs that demonstrate their commitment to creating safe, healthy, and positive environments for all of their members through the development and implementation of Athlete Protection Policies, Safe Sport Best Practices, and Safe Sport education.

The Raleigh Swimming Association has been highlighted as a Safe Sport Recognized Club with a banner on its team listing in the USA Swimming Find-a-Team Search and will receive a medallion for their club’s website as well. The TAC Titans won the boys, girls, and combined team championships at the 2022 NCS Age Group Short Course Championship meet at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. The Titans scored 4,492 points to second place SwimMAC’s 3,351 points to take the combined team championship. NCAC was third with 2,180.5 points, followed by New Wave Swimming with 1,557 points, and the Marlins of Raleigh with 1,121 points.
