This past week at the USA Swimming Workshop in Denver, Colorado, several awards were presented recognizing valued individuals who contribute to our sport. North Carolina Swimming is proud to announce, Trish Martin, NCS General Chair, received the Safe Sport Impact Award. This award is to recognize significant achievements by an individual or group who has contributed to fulfillment of the Safe Sport mission to safeguard all members of USA Swimming from sexual, psychological , emotional and physical abuse. NCS is thankful for your leadership, time, and energy devoted to making an impact on not only our LSC, but making a difference all across USA Swimming. Congratulations Trish!

2024 Open Water Select Camp** – Selected from 2024 NCS OW Champs, OW Zone Meet, OW Juniors/OW Nationals (see point chart below)

2024 Open Water All Stars** – Selected from 2024 NCS OW Champs, OW Zone Meet, OW Juniors/OW Nationals (see section 2.8 of the NCS policies for selection criteria).
** Any ties will be decided by an Open Water Committee comprised of OW coaches who are well versed in the eccentricities of Open Water Swimming.
2024 Open Water Zone Team – Selected from 2023 Carolina Cup, at this time the Top 3 by gender/age group are automatic selections, with three additional coach picks by gender/age group.
**NOTE – There may be an applications process for the 11-12 year olds.
