The 2024 North Carolina Swimming Awards Banquet will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday, October 5 2024. The event will feature special guest speaker Ross Dant. Ross Dant, a standout swimmer from Hickory, North Carolina, has made a significant impact on the NC State Wolfpack’s swimming program. Over his collegiate career, he earned nine All-American honors and two ACC Championships, excelling primarily in the 500-yard and 1650-yard freestyle events. In 2023-24, Dant earned a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter freestyle at the U.S. Olympic Trials, an ACC title in the 1650-yard freestyle, and a top-four finish in the 500-yard freestyle at the NCAA Championships. Throughout his tenure, Ross consistently performed at an elite level, setting records, securing top finishes, and earning a spot on the U.S. National Team. Tickets will not be sent out to those who registered but are to be picked up at the registration table in the lobby of the Greensboro Coliseum when you arrive at the event.
Ross Dant will have a meet & greet/autograph session for everyone attending the banquet on Saturday 12:15 -1:00pm, with the banquet beginning at 1:15pm.
Several awards will be presented at the banquet. Those on the NCS ALL STAR list will be recognized, along with male and female swimmers of the year in the 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, and 17-18 age groups. In addition the Coach of the Year Awards, the Team of the Year Awards, NCS Coach Leadership Award, and the USA Swimming Outstanding Service Award will be presented.
