More NCS swimmers going to Rio!

June 30, 2016 by Bill Martin

Three more swimmers representing North Carolina Swimming have made the Olympic team.  Cammile Adams (SwimMAC) earned her spot with a win in the 200 Butterfly on Thursday night.  Ryan Held (NC State) placed 3rd in the 100 Free and  Anthony Ervin (UN-NC) finished 4th, both securing positions on the 4×100 relay team.

Madison Kennedy (SwimMAC) just missed qualifying for finals in the 100 Free, finishing 9th.  Tyler Clary (SwimMAC) finished 3rd overall in qualifying for the 200 Back finals, while Hennessey Stuart (NC State) qualified in the 8th spot.  Justin Ress (MOR) finished 11th overall.  Micah Lawrence (SwimMAC)  is well-positioned for the 200 Breast finals as the number two qualifier.  Ryan Lochte (SwimMAC) was the top qualifier in the 200 IM and will face Michael Phelps in the finals tomorrow night.  Christian McCurdy (NC State) also swam in the semi-finals, finishing 14th overall.

Good luck NCS swimmers!
