Ashley Twichell of NCAC is leading the contingent of NCS club swimmers at the US Open with a win in the women’s 800 free on day one, followed by a second place finish in the 400 Free the following day. This comes after her gold medal performance in the 10K open water event at the World Championships a couple of weeks ago.
Other top swims so far include a fourth place finish by Ashley McCauley of MOR in the women’s 200 breast, a fifth place by MOR teammate Zach Brown in the men’s 200 fly, a fifth place by Hennessey Stuart of WOLF in the men’s 200 back, a sixth place in the women’s 200 back by Elise Hann of WOLF, a seventh place in the women’s 800 free by MOR’s Madison Homovich, and an 8th place by Coleman Stewart of WOLF in the men’s 200 back.
Other NCS club swimmers with top 32 finishes so far include Will Macmillan (NCAC), Dan Erlenmeyer (WOLF), Matt O’Donnell (WOLF), Abby Arens (MOR), Michael McBryan (NCAC), Lexi Lupton (WOLF), Grace Countie (MOR), and John Healy (MOR).
